Graduate Unqualified TeacherAre you a recent graduate with a strong academic background and a serious interest in becoming a teacher?An ambitious secondary school in Brent is offering a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Unqualified Teacher to join their team from September 2025.This is a 1-year fixed-term role, ideal for graduates who are considering a career in teaching and want to gain first-hand classroom experience in a core subject such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities or MFL before starting a PGCE or teacher training programme.The Role:As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you’ll step into a structured support role designed to develop your confidence and competence in the classroom. Under the guidance of experienced teachers and middle leaders, your responsibilities will include: Leading pre-planned lessons to full classesSupporting students in your subject specialism across KS3 and KS4Delivering interventions and booster sessions for small groups and individualsDeveloping classroom management strategiesAssisting with marking, planning, and data tracking as needed This is a rare opportunity to experience the realities of teaching while being supported by a strong professional development framework – perfect preparation for those planning to train as a qualified teacher in the near future.What We’re Looking For: A recent graduate (2:1 or above preferred) in a core subject (Maths, English, Science, History, Geography, or MFL)A clear ambition to become a qualified teacherStrong subject knowledge and excellent communication skillsConfidence, initiative, and a professional attitudePrevious experience working with young people or in education is desirable but not essential Why Join This School?
