Job Title: Year 6 Class Teacher - Primary School, Islington Location: London Borough of Islington Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-time Salary: MPS1-6 dependent on experience Recruitment by: SANZA Teaching Agency Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Year 6 Class Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Islington from September 2025. This is a unique opportunity to work with Upper Key Stage 2 pupils, prepare them for transition to secondary school, and support colleagues in delivering high-quality Maths education. Key Responsibilities - Year 6 Class Teacher: Teach a Year 6 class, providing engaging, differentiated lessons across the curriculum. Prepare pupils for transition to secondary school, including SATs readiness. Support the wellbeing and academic progress of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL. Work collaboratively with staff and parents to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven experience teaching in Upper KS2 (Year 5/6) Strong knowledge of National curriculum and teaching strategies Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff Desirable: Experience as a subject leader or curriculum coordinator Familiarity with primary school assessment systems Experience with SATs preparation and tracking pupil progress What the School Offers: Full-time, term-time role (approx. 8:30am - 4:00pm) Supportive and inclusive school community Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth Safeguarding: The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
