Social Worker - Children Looked After Hackney is seeking passionate and skilled Children Looked After Social Workers to join our dedicated team on a locum basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, working within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority. Purpose of the Role You will provide a high-quality and effective social work service that responds to the needs of children and their families in a timely manner, within statutory guidelines. Your work will focus on safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes through assessment, planning, and direct intervention. Key Responsibilities: Conduct holistic assessments of children and families using interviews, observations, and multi-agency input. Analyse risk and protective factors within a child protection framework. Develop and implement care and intervention plans using systemic and social learning theory approaches. Manage Child Protection Plans and contribute to court reports. Ensure their voices are heard and reflected in all planning and reporting. Respond promptly and sensitively to concerns and complaints. Meet statutory responsibilities including visits, reviews, and court reporting. Collaborate with other agencies to deliver integrated services. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with SWE Reg Experience in children?s social care, ideally within a looked after children or safeguarding context.
