Job DescriptionThe Host serves as a liaison between the dining room staff and the kitchen, ensuring efficient communication and coordination to provide exceptional service to the restaurate. Additionally, they may handle reservations, manage seating arrangements, and address any guest concerns or special requests.Salary: up to £16,20 per hour including Tronc. Working 5 days over 7Sunday to Tuesday daytime only Wednesday to Saturday lunch and dinner service.Key Responsibilities:Greet guests as they arrive, providing a warm welcome and assisting with seating arrangements.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's layout, table availability, and seating capacity.Manage reservations, including recording bookings, updating availability, and confirming reservations as needed.Monitor dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless dining experience.Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.Train and supervise hosting and serving staff, providing guidance on service standards, etiquette, and guest interaction.Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the reception area, dining room, and restrooms.Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.Uphold high standards of professionalism, hospitality, and guest service at all times.
