JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant Croydon Location: England, Greater London, CroydonJob Type: Contract, Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry: Education and TrainingSalary: £90 - £100 Per dayBenefits: PAYEJob Duties: Supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored educational activitiesProviding one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them access the curriculumCollaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student progressHelping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students Required Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualificationExperience working with students with SENGood understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and MathsExperience: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational settingKnowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamPatience and empathy when working with students with SENBasic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions Preferred Qualifications: First Aid trainingMental Health First Aid qualification Working Conditions: This role will involve working in a classroom environment with students with SEN. The working hours are full-time, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
