SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School in NewhamLocation: NewhamPay: £90 - £105 per dayHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pmContract: Full time/ Long TermStart Date: ASAPAre you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.Key Responsibilities of an SEN TA: Provide morning support for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and emotional regulation challenges Work flexibly in the afternoons across Key Stage 1 and 2 Assist in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions Support students’ emotional well-being and academic development Assist with personal care tasks, including nappy changing, if required What We’re Looking From the SEN TA: Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Ability to work well as part of a team and independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Relevant training or qualifications in education or SEN (preferred but not essential) Why Join This Primary School in Newham?
