SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Kettering Salary: £90 – £110 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Term time only) Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by up to 45 minutes)Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or do you bring transferable skills from another sector? Role Overview We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly, inclusive school in Kettering. In this role, you’ll support children with a range of special educational needs, both in and outside of the classroom, helping to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN Assist during lessons, break times, and lunch Support the class teacher with day-to-day activities Help maintain a safe and organised classroom Foster an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere for all pupils Who We’re Looking For Experience in a school setting is not essential – we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are enthusiastic about working with children.The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience with SEN children (preferred, not essential) Be patient, reliable, and committed Show initiative and a proactive approach Have (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Hold permanent UK residency (essential) What We Offer Sociable working hours – no evenings or weekends!
