You will have a strong command of your subject knowledge and the ability to plan creative schemes of work that bring historical events and themes to life. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4 that are ambitious, differentiated and in line with the national curriculum. Using a range of strategies to ensure lessons are inclusive and engaging for all learners, including those with SEN and EAL needs. Preparing students for GCSE examinations through targeted teaching, effective assessment and personalised support. Promoting curiosity, debate and independent thinking through historical enquiry and source analysis. Contributing to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular clubs, trips and enrichment activities. Essential requirements include: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong academic background in History or a related subject.
