MOT Technician - Southampton Basic Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 OTE: £40,000 - £44,000 Job SummaryOur Client is a fast-growing national automotive company offering excellent training and development opportunities. They are currently seeking a MOT Tester/Mechanical Technician to join their expanding team on a full-time, permanent basis. MOT Testers are responsible for ensuring all vehicles are tested in line with DVSA requirements and that the company continues to meet its obligations as an approved MOT centre. At the same time, they must provide a high level of service to customers in a professional and efficient manner. As a MOT Tester/Mechanical Technician, you will have: A Mechanics Level 3 qualification or a valid MOT licence Experience in tyre fitting, as well as brake, cam belt, clutch and exhaust fitting A full UK Driving Licence Excellent customer service skills Experience in a professional workshop environment The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment A commitment to continuous learning and improvement The ability to take initiative and responsibility for the quality of your work Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring all work completed on vehicles is carried out safely and to a high standard Conducting MOT testing in line with DVSA requirements Performing fast-fit tyre fitting, using alignment equipment, and interpreting readings to make necessary adjustments Fitting brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical components Working safely at all times and complying with health & safety regulations Only carrying out work on products or services where you have been trained and assessed as competent Adhering to company procedures, including the use of vehicle inspection sheets Advising customers and/or management of any additional faults identified on vehicles Premier Recruitment Solutions Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
