Backed by prominent investors, we have rapidly established ourselves in the market, currently serving over 300,000 customers in the UK.About the RoleAs our Financial Controller, you’ll be integral to managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting. You'll oversee budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, playing a vital role in our continued growth and success. This position requires a proactive leader who can navigate challenges and implement effective financial strategies.Key Responsibilities• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budget preparation process, analyze variances from the budget, and consult with relevant departments to address discrepancies.• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.• Internal Controls: Design and implement effective financial controls to reduce risk and ensure data integrity.• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor members of the finance team, promoting a culture of efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align financial goals with business strategy, providing insights and recommendations grounded in financial analysis.Requirements• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.• Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial management, including 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the fintech sector.• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (ERP systems, Excel); experience with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).• Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and compliance regulations.• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing complex financial data.• Communication: Excellent communication skills, able to present financial concepts and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences.BenefitsWhat We Offer• A dynamic and inclusive work environment in a rapidly growing fintech startup.• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.• Competitive salary.• The chance to make a significant impact on financial inclusion and credit building for underserved communities.If you are passionate about finance and eager to contribute to a growing company, we would love to hear from you.
