Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Lambeth Salary: £100-115 Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you have the confidence, patience, and resilience to support students with behavioural challenges? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Croydon. This is a vital pastoral role, where you will work closely with students who require behavioural, emotional or social support to engage positively in school life. Key Responsibilities: Support students in and out of lessons to help manage their behaviour and improve engagement Build positive, trusting relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor Work with teaching and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and support plans Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural or emotional needs A calm, consistent, and firm approach with excellent communication skills A genuine passion for improving outcomes for students The ability to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour Experience in a school or youth work setting (preferred) We Offer: A strong, supportive pastoral team Ongoing training and development opportunities A chance to make a real impact in students' lives A diverse, welcoming school community in the heart of Lambeth This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful difference and grow their experience in education or youth support.
