Position Overview Start date: September 2025 Location: Islington Primary School Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:45pm Pay: £90 - £101 per day (PAYE) Contract: Long-term, term time only Role Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism (ASD) Support learning activities and deliver targeted intervention sessions outside the classroom Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and wellbeing support Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised learning strategies Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant Will: Have proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (ASD) Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a proactive approach in the classroom Be confident in supporting emotional and behavioural needs calmly and effectively Enjoy working both independently and as part of a dedicated team This role is perfect for a compassionate and skilled SEND Teaching Assistant who is committed to helping children thrive both academically and emotionally.
