The Role: So, what will you be doing as a Supplier Quality Engineer? Manage and support the Non-Conformance Process Act as liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement for material issues Conduct Supplier Audits, verify corrective actions, and drive improvements Assist in First Article/First Piece Inspection and Configuration Audits (for our client or supplier sites) Coach suppliers on PFMEA and Control Plan activities Coordinate efforts for non-conforming material, engaging with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams Review data from incoming inspections and ensure compliance within inspection systems Support the ISO 9001:2015 Supplier Quality System and assist with internal/external audits Provide support during customer and DCMA visits related to part quality Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding part quality Evaluate and approve new suppliers, ensuring risk management and compliance Partner with Supply Chain Management to approve/disapprove suppliers as required Take responsibility for personal health and safety in line with company policy What are we looking for in our next Supplier Quality Engineer? Strong background in root cause analysis and leading problem-solving teams Willingness to travel up to 50% Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, Minitab, and other QA tools Skilled in GD&T and use of metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Experience with electronic components, PCBAs, and/or batteries (preferred) My client is keen to get this position filled ASAP, so if you feel you have the skills and desire to provide passion and drive as the next Supplier Quality Engineer, this is the opportunity for you!
