Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant Location: Derby Pay Rate: £90 – £110+ per day (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-time / Part-timeAre you a patient, understanding, and dedicated individual eager to support children in developing positive behaviour and emotional resilience?GSL Education are seeking a committed Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Derby. You will work closely with pupils to provide tailored support, helping them manage behaviour, engage with learning, and thrive in a positive and safe school environment.As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs on a one-to-one or small group basis.Assisting teachers and school staff in implementing behaviour strategies and plans.Encouraging positive social skills, emotional regulation, and self-confidence.Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.Liaising with staff, parents, and carers to monitor progress and provide consistent support. Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Strong communication and teamwork skills.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
