Providing technical assistance to SURTASS mission systems to troubleshoot, repair, test, and return to serviceConducting all tenets of In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) responsibilities in accordance with SPAWARINST 5400 (series) and intermediate and depot level maintenance on SURTASS mission systems and support handling equipmentGenerating reports for SURTASS mission systems status as directed by the GovernmentConducting refresher training (REFTRA) in accordance with the MRR manual and SURTASS O&M Technician CTQMReviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Engineering Changes (ECs), and Requests for Variance (RFV), and developing schedules for implementationUtilizing the WILD trouble ticket application to log all maintenance trouble tickets for action in the Job Sequence Number (JSN)/Military Sealift Command (MSC) Work Request (WKRQ) logReviewing technical manuals, publications, and maintenance procedures, and providing recommended revisions to the GovernmentIdentifying and reporting system/software design problems and deficiencies for SURTASS mission systems; the report should include the observed deficiency(s) and recommended solution(s) in a formal report to the GovernmentProviding on-the-job training (OJT) technical training to O&M Technician crew members and documenting training in accordance with the SURTASS O&M Technician CTQMSupporting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), In Process Reviews (IPRs), and Integrated Logistics Overhauls (ILOs)Performing Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) analysis of SURTASS mission systemContributing and providing support to Government efforts in collecting and analyzing data for RMASupporting and performing configuration management services for the SURTASS mission systemsUpdating and maintaining Technical Data Packages (TDP) for all SURTASS mission systems including, but not limited to, drawings, parts lists, operations and maintenance manuals, software user manuals, test set manuals, and other documents to represent the current system configurationsPerforming exterior maintenance and preservation on SURTASS modular mission systemsParticipating in inspections (e.g. SURTASS Material Assessment and Readiness Testing (SMART) inspections)FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING#LI-LH1Associate Degree in computer science, electronics technology, or be a graduate of US Navy electronics “C” school or equivalent civilian electronics technical school; curriculum should have dealt directly with maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Navy C5I, secure networks, communications systems, navigation systems, and sonar systems Eight years of practical hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Navy C5I, secure networks, communications systems, navigation systems, and sonar systemsDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required within 12 monthsFive years of experience in the maintenance and repair of SURTASS C4I systems, SURTASS processing systems, and SURTASS arrays (active and passive) SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVELUp to 10% travel may be requiredScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
