Your New CompanyThis Tier 2 main contractor is delivering a high-profile £12 million refurbishment project in Glasgow and is seeking an experienced freelance Quantity Surveyor to join the team. With a strong track record in complex refurbishments and public sector work, the company offers a professional and collaborative environment where your expertise will be highly valued.2. Your New RoleAs Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take ownership of the commercial management of the project, ensuring financial control and contractual compliance throughout. Your responsibilities will include:Managing valuations, variations, and final accountsSubcontractor procurement and cost reportingBudget tracking and forecastingSupporting contract administration and risk managementLiaising with site teams, consultants, and clientsThis is a hands-on role suited to someone confident, working independently and delivering under tight timelines.3. What You Will Need to SucceedTo hit the ground running, you’ll need:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on refurbishment or complex build projectsStrong working knowledge of JCT contractsAbility to manage commercial aspects with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAvailability for an immediate start and flexibility to be site-based in Glasgow4.
