We’re seeking a Teaching Fellow in Cinematography, Producing, Production Management, Directing or Sound to deliver creative-based, practical teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, nurturing research skills that inform collaborative filmmaking. Meet our LFA Team HERE. RequirementsTeaching and Learning Deliver engaging teaching in lectures, tutorials, and via the VLE. Lead modules in alignment with validated course specifications. Incorporate student feedback to refine content and delivery. Implement peer review to enhance tutor effectiveness. Provide academic and pastoral support, signposting as needed. Curriculum and Assessment Design, review, and deliver learning materials (digital and physical). Ensure alignment of teaching with learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Support students during critical project phases. Maintain administrative records and contribute to curriculum development. Academic Development and Innovation Stay current with developments in pedagogy and industry trends. Engage in research that informs professional practice and teaching excellence. Develop partnerships to foster collaboration and share best practices. Apply emerging technologies to improve learning outcomes. Quality Assurance and Compliance Maintain records to meet accreditor and regulatory standards. Participate in programme reviews, panels, and curriculum meetings. Support LFA events such as admissions, open days, and student engagement activities. Promote inclusive teaching and learning strategies. Institutional Contribution Act as a cultural ambassador for LFA. Contribute to staff development and annual performance reviews. Represent LFA at internal and external forums and committees aligned with strategic goals. Essential Degree or equivalent in a creative arts or industry-related field. Significant teaching experience in Higher Education. Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and student support. Knowledge of relevant research methodologies. Experience in the Film/TV industry. Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Cinematography, Producing, Production Management, Sound or Directing Up-to-date with discipline-specific trends and pedagogical practices. Desirable Doctorate in a relevant field. Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) or equivalent. Familiarity with private education environments. Broad understanding of Higher Education sector challenges.
