In this role, you will work closely with our Sales & Business Development team to monitor and analyse markets, conduct research into sector issues, and identify potential markets, companies, transactions, and situations for our client-facing teams to pursue.As a Corporate Research Analyst, you will receive comprehensive training to become proficient in tracking, identifying, and understanding the primary indicators of market opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying potential deal opportunities across our fast-growing advisory services lines, such as Restructuring, M&A, Transaction Services, Value Creation, and Valuations. Key Responsibilities:Conduct market and sector analysis with support from our specialist sector experts to drive thought leadership and identify individual corporate targets (e.g. restructuring targets in an industry that is facing headwinds)Analysis of financial statements to identify key performance drivers and/or signs of underperformance that may indicate opportunities for delivery teamsSupport team with research on specific industries and production of go-to-market thought leadershipReview and analyse data and insights from various sources, publicly available information, and industry thought leadershipDevelop initiatives and strategies to support our internal clients in winning new projects and contractsMaintain the accuracy and integrity of our pursuit pipeline by updating our CRM systemProduce pipeline reports for our national leadershipProvide detailed pipeline management reporting and ad hoc support to specific national pipeline teamsRequirementsProficient in Office suite - Excel and PowerPoint, in particularStrong financial analysis skills – ability to read, understand and communicate information from quarterly and annual reportsExperience of market and industry analysis – ability to track trends, macro themes, regulatory changes and how this may impact market participants High level understanding of debt marketsHigh level understanding of different corporate structuresExcellent report writing skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiencesFamiliarity with Salesforce, CapIQ, PowerBI and other research/pipeline management tools is desirable but not requiredExisting understanding of corporate deals, restructuring, or wider financial markets is a plusAbout You:Passionate about commercial and financial matters with a pragmatic and effective approach to problem-solvingStrong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlinesHighly conscientious and able to produce high-quality and accurate workExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsConfident in liaising with senior colleaguesProactive and able to work independently and as part of a teamBenefitsBenefits At Interpath, our people lie at the heart of our business.
