Job Title: Microsoft AdministratorLocation: Coventry/Birmingham, UK (Hybrid)Duration: 6-month contract role under Inside IR35Work Module: 3 days onsite/weekJob description:Key Responsibilities:• Microsoft Power Platform Administration:o Deploy, configure, and manage policies for Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).o Provide ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of Power Platform environments.o Monitor usage and compliance, ensuring governance standards are met across all Power Platform solutions.o Assist business users with best practices for app development, data modeling, and workflow automation in Power Apps and Power Automate.o Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Power Platform services, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.• Microsoft 365 Administration:o Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).o Apply patches and updates for Microsoft 365, ensuring systems remain secure and up-to-date.o Configure and enforce security and compliance policies across the MS 365 suite (e.g., data loss prevention, retention policies).o Perform user and license management within the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring smooth provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts and permissions.o Ensure MS 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) are optimized for performance and security.• Maintenance and Patch Management:o Regularly apply security patches and updates to Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 services, ensuring they remain secure and compliant with organizational policies.o Perform routine health checks and system optimizations for both environments to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of services.o Collaborate with internal teams to schedule downtime and communicate patching efforts to minimize user disruption.• Policy Configuration & Governance:o Define, deploy, and maintain governance policies and frameworks within Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365.o Ensure compliance with security best practices, industry regulations, and internal policies in all configuration and governance activities.o Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and manage user permissions to enforce secure, scalable solutions.• Collaboration & Support:o Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance with Power Platform and Microsoft 365 services.o Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to ensure alignment of Power Platform solutions with organizational goals and objectives.o Stay up-to-date with new features and enhancements within the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 ecosystem to help drive continuous improvementRequired Skills and Experience:• Proven experience as a Microsoft Administrator, with hands-on expertise in managing Microsoft PowerPlatform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Microsoft 365 services.• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration tools and best practices, including Exchange Online,SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and security features.• Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing policies within Microsoft Power Platform and MS 365.• Understanding of patch management processes, security updates, and maintenance of Microsoftenvironments.• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple platforms.• Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security best practices within Microsoft Power Platform andMicrosoft 365.• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline administrative tasks.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and effective support and guidance to endusers and business stakeholders.
