An award-winning boutique law firm is seeking a talented Legal Cashier to join their busy Accounts Team. With around 80 employees and a blend of home and office working, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit finance team where your contribution will be valued from day one. The Role The successful candidate will have at least two years’ legal cashiering experience and a sound knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. Working closely with the Team Leader, you will take on a varied workload, including:Monitoring client and office bank accounts and allocating receiptsProcessing online payments (Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT) in line with approval proceduresManaging transactions across numerous individual client bank accountsLiaising with banks to resolve payment issuesHandling deposits and withdrawals from external deposit accountsManaging payroll, tax, pensions, and HMRC payments for client-employed staffProcessing HMLR statements and applying the correct VATReconciling credit card, debit card, and cheque control accountsBanking cheques and reconciling against ledgersReviewing property completion statements and client ledgersChecking and processing bills and expensesMonitoring residual balances and supplier paymentsSkills & ExperienceMinimum 2 years’ legal cashiering experienceNumerate, accurate, and detail-orientedStrong organisational and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordBenefits25 days holiday + bank holidaysPrivate health cover Subsidised gym membershipLife insurance (3x salary)Contributory pension schemeAttendance bonus and annual bonus schemeHybrid working after induction and trainingIf you are a meticulous, proactive legal cashier looking for a role where no two days are the same – and where your skills are truly appreciated – this is an opportunity not to miss.
