Are you a recent psychology graduate looking to gain experience in an education setting?Teaching Personnel are currently looking for psychology graduates to take on teaching assistant roles in specialist secondary schools in Manchester full-time starting as soon as possible. The schools work with students with SEN and SEMH needs, where students will need additional support to ensure they are progressing at a steady rate. You will be involved with supporting teachers to monitor behaviour, ensure lessons go ahead as planned, and providing individualised support for the students that you will build a relationship with.Within these roles you will: Creating a happy and safe learning environment for each student to thrive withinHelping students to focus on their work and progress at a good rateProvide feedback to teachers, other support staff and parents to create a cohesive team of staff within the schoolWork closely with students on EHCPs to ensure the terms of these plans are being metUnderstand and de-escalate different challenging behavioursTake part in different training sessions within the school to ensure that you are consistently learning and improving how you work For these roles you should: Be able to work with secondary aged children who have additional needsHave some experience working with childrenHave a degree or be graduating this yearBe available full-time If you are interested in taking on one of these roles, please apply with an up to date CV highlighting relevant experience.All applicants must have a permanent residence and right to work in the UK.
