We are seeking diligent and physically fit Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Corby. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes, requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to safely handle heavy items.Key DetailsJob Title: Warehouse OperativeLocation: CorbyPay Rate: £12.50 per hourShifts: Monday to Friday. Candidates will be assigned one of the following shift patterns:6:00 AM to 3:00 PM6:00 AM to 12:00 PM9:00 AM to 6:00 PMResponsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to warehouse efficiency, including:Picking and Packing: Accurately picking goods from stock locations using scanners or manifest sheets and preparing them for shipment.Goods In/Out: Receiving, checking, and accurately documenting incoming stock, and loading outgoing shipments.Stock Control: Assisting with regular stock counts and maintaining an organized and tidy warehouse environment.Manual Handling: Safely and efficiently moving, stacking, and organizing products, which will include heavy lifting (up to 25kg, with safe manual handling practices and equipment where appropriate).Adherence to Safety: Strictly following all company health and safety procedures, particularly regarding manual handling and the operation of warehouse equipment.General Duties: Performing other ad-hoc warehouse tasks as required by the management team.Requirements:EssentialPhysical Fitness: Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and standing/walking for extended periods throughout the shift.Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.Work Ethic: Proactive, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team and unsupervised.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy required for picking, packing, and stock documentation.Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to working safely at all times.Desirable:Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or hand-held scanners.
