Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join a busy clients dynamic signmaking team. The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacturing, assembly, and finishing of a wide range of signage products, ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Pay: £12.50 - £13 per hour Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30 Key Responsibilities: Operate machinery and hand tools to produce signs from various materials (e.g., acrylic, aluminium, vinyl). Assist in the printing, cutting, laminating, and mounting of graphics. Assemble signage components including LED lighting, frames, and fixings. Prepare surfaces and apply vinyl graphics with precision. Conduct quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Support the team with general workshop duties and stock management. Follow production schedules and meet deadlines. Requirements: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (signmaking experience preferred but not essential). Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or job sheets. Comfortable using hand tools and machinery. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills (e.g., for job tracking or printing software).
