Supply Desk is seeking dedicated and skilled Learning Support Assistants to join specialist SEN schools in Abbots Langley.Position Details: Location: Abbots Langley, HertfordshireStart Date: October 2025Salary: From £85 per dayContract Type: Full time, temp to perm Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning challenges.Assist pupils in accessing personalised curriculums aligned with their EHCPs.Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and therapists to deliver effective, student-centred support.Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes both emotional and academic growth. Essential Requirements: Previous experience in an SEN school setting is desirable – transferable experience from related sectors will be considered.Strong understanding of the needs of students with additional learning requirements, demonstrating patience and empathy.Ability to manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies.Proactive and adaptable approach when working within specialist educational environments.
