English Teacher – Secondary School Location: Middlesbrough Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Based on experienceAbout the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Middlesbrough. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students in both English Language and Literature through dynamic and engaging lessons that build confidence and a lifelong love for reading and writing.This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and contribute to the school’s vibrant learning community.Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Prepare students for GCSE exams, maintaining strong academic standards. Contribute to the ongoing development of a creative and challenging English curriculum. Monitor student progress, implementing interventions where needed. Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development. Qualifications & ExperienceEssential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Solid understanding of English Language and Literature. Experience teaching English within a secondary school. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Desirable: Experience teaching A-Level English. Proven record of improving outcomes at KS4. Involvement in extracurricular English activities (e.g., debating, creative writing, drama). Why Join Us?
