The RoleA highly oversubscribed school in Everton is looking to appoint a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The pupil requires significant SEND support, including SEMH provision.As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will: Work under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff to deliver tailored support programmes.Provide assistance both within the classroom and in alternative learning spaces, occasionally supporting other pupils where required.Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCo to assess the pupil’s individual needs, identify barriers to learning, and monitor progress. Experience of working 1:1 with a pupil who has an EHCP would be advantageous. However, relevant experience with children or adults with additional needs will also be considered.
