Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School, FarehamFull Time | Term Time Only | Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 2:40pmAre you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential?GSL Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Fareham who are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team on a full-time, term-time basis.This is a varied role where you’ll be working closely with a number of students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). These pupils have a range of additional needs including SEN and learning difficulties, and you’ll play an important part in helping them thrive both academically and personally.The school prides itself on being ambitious, inclusive and community-focused, where every student is encouraged to achieve their best through care, consistency, and high expectations. Staff work collaboratively to create an environment where kindness, respect, and resilience are at the heart of everything they do.The Role: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN and/or learning difficulties.Build strong, trusting relationships with students and act as a positive role model.Help adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.Encourage engagement, confidence, and independence in learning.Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver tailored interventions. The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience supporting children or young people is beneficial, but the right personality and attitude are what truly matter.Outgoing, positive, and proactive in finding creative ways to engage students.Able to use initiative and adapt to different situations with calmness and empathy.Genuine passion for making a difference in young people’s lives.
