We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay: £17.28- £23.01 per hour Summary: The Caretaker will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of Islingtons housing estates. Working both independently and as part of a team, the postholder will ensure a high standard of estate cleaning, minor repairs, and resident support in line with the Councils commitment to providing excellent, customer-focused housing services. The role requires flexibility, responsibility, and a commitment to the Councils values of being collaborative, ambitious, resourceful, and empowering. Responsibilities: Ensure communal areas, lodges, and estate grounds are kept clean, safe, and well maintained.Report incidents such as fire, flood, vandalism, or disrepair to the appropriate officers.Promote safeguarding of vulnerable residents and report concerns appropriately.Uphold the Councils commitment to equality, customer care, and health and safety policies.Use IT systems effectively to complete records, control information, and report maintenance or service issues.
