Assembler / Fitter - Electrical Control Boxes Location: Birmingham (B18) Contract: Temporary to Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Pay: Competitive - based on experience Agency: Major Recruitment Major Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled Assembler / Fitter to join a leading manufacturer based in Birmingham (B18). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong mechanical and basic electrical assembly experience, particularly with control boxes used in: Turnstiles Traffic barriers Security gates and fencing systems Role Responsibilities: Assembly and fitting of electrical control boxes for security systems Reading and interpreting basic electrical and mechanical drawings Using hand-held tools such as screwdrivers, drills, crimpers, wire strippers, etc. Wiring and connecting components (switches, relays, connectors, terminals) Testing and inspecting completed assemblies for functionality and quality Maintaining a clean and organised work area Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in mechanical/electrical assembly or fitting Confidence working with hand and power tools Ability to follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams A proactive and reliable approach to work Good communication and team-working skills Desirable: Experience in assembling control panels or similar low-voltage electrical systems Understanding of basic electrical safety and wiring practices Background in manufacturing for the security or automation sector What's in it for you? 40 hours per week, consistent daytime shifts Competitive pay (based on experience) Weekly pay via Major Recruitment Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term prospects Supportive, modern workshop environment INDLS
