Local Authority Criminal Justice Housing Adviser, West London Pay rate c. £28-30 per hour Contract role, Local Government Housing We are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Criminal Justice Housing Adviser in West London Provide housing advice and support to prevent and resolve homelessness among single homeless ex-offenders approaching the Housing Solutions Service following a custodial sentence. Be the main point of contact and between Probation Services and the Housing Solutions team. Identify and assess support needs and refer to relevant supported accommodation pathway. Identify ex-offenders as appropriate for referral into the AfEO scheme. Develop and implement new processes in coordination with probation services and AfEO coordinator to ensure early intervention prior to prison release to prevent homelessness. Assess, administer and make decisions on the outcome of individual homelessness applications under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) in accordance with legislation and case law. This is a contract role, and you will need to have experience in a similar Local Authority role. Please get in touch for more information.
