We are currently partnering with a London based charity who are recruiting for a Support Worker to join their growing team on a 1 month rolling contract.This is a full-time position covering a Lewisham and Southwark patch with a rate of £22.97 via an umbrella company.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Providing resettlement support for the first 3 months of tenancy including assisting with bills and welfare adviceProviding tenancy sustainment advice, ensuing clients are following tenancy agreements and create plans to retain newly obtained or current accommodationProviding benefit advice to tenantsEngaging in homelessness prevention strategies Experience required: Support worker experienceExperience working with individuals experiencing homelessness Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Previous experience working with people who are homeless and have complex needsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalGood organisational and time management skillsAwareness of and ability to comply with relevant health and safety legislationAbility to work effectively as part of a team Rewards and Benefits: Flexible workingAutonomy over caseload Working hours: 37.5 hours per weekMonday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.Don’t forget our recommendation scheme: Recommend a friend or colleague to us and receive up to £100 each in vouchers once they have completed 20 days in a role via James Andrews!
