It is an integral role for the day to day operating of the Store Design team at Charlotte Tilbury. Supporting key store design projects both in the physical and virtual world , originating new concepts to be always ahead of competitors, producing strategic and disruptive design outputs, monitoring all processes from initial creative concept to store opening. You will support the Store Design Director and the Department Director by taking the lead in key projects, pushing boundaries always, and proposing continuous innovation, being the best partner for the rest of the Global Teams and Regions.As a Global Store Design Manager you willYou will be working alongside the Store Design Director to help translate Charlotte’s vision and unique expertise on how to communicate with customers. Lead Charlotte Tilbury’s brand codes across all Store Design elements, expressing the strength of the brand aesthetically and commercially. From the initials sketching to the preparation of floor plans, storefront elevations, and renderings to support new distribution across different markets. It is part of this role to manage various processes involved from creating the best layouts, maximizing brand expression in a new store, monitoring creative development, technical drawings, approvals, costs, and opening schedules.Oversee architectural, mechanical and structural componentsControl the preparation of the design pack for internal approval and external /retailers sign of process for own projects. Understand and interpret local building codes, integrating comprehensive design solutions compliant with local and regional regulationsIdentify technically challenging project conditions, and develop solutions with department managers, suppliers and technical supportImplement Brand matrices / guidelines and respond quickly to changing business conditions, design prototypes, or material developments. Manage outside suppliers to execute design development and construction documents. Review and approve construction documents by suppliers/ licensees for adherence to design standardsEnsure that the execution of assigned projects is in alignment with Brand strategy, project schedules and project budgetsOverview and approve shop drawings for design integrity and safety standards for assigned projectsControl CPA for all store design projects assignedIdentify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projectsAttend installation of new stores monitoring standards and snagging issuesCommunicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills, understands and tailors presentations to the audience (internal & external)Who you will work withReporting into the Global Store Design Director About youArchitecture or Interior Design degreeMust have the following technical proficiency - 3D design in Sketchup, Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD, Microsoft office (basic Word and Excel programs), InDesign and Photoshop skills Good knowledge of Graphic Design and use of the Adobe Creative suite Proficient sketching and rendering skills to communicate ideasGlobal experience preferredEntrepreneurial spirit, good leadership skills and team playerStrong project management skills and examples to prove this. Ability to execute multiple designs under tight deadlines and big pressureDemonstrate appropriate level of business acumen while staying current on design trends and competitive patterning Passionate and focused on Retail of the Future, a true disruptorBest Partner with Marketing, Creative Agency, VM, Digital, Tech and regions , working cross functional projects requested by senior stakeholders even if outside his/her scopeAbility to balance design with operational needs and budget Exceptional eye for detail and commercial opportunitiesCurrent working knowledge of building and health codes and compliance issuesFocused on quality and implementation processes.
