It’s about helping young people who’ve had tough starts to see that change is possible, guiding them through daily challenges, and celebrating every small step forward. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils aged 11–16 with social, emotional, and behavioural needsBuilding trust and consistency with students who need strong, steady role modelsWorking closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to keep pupils on trackDe-escalating situations calmly and using restorative approaches to rebuild relationshipsCreating a safe, structured environment where students can succeed What We’re Looking For Experience in a high-pressure or behaviour management environment (e.g. prison service, youth justice, police, armed forces, or similar)The ability to stay calm under pressure and think on your feetEmpathy, patience, and a firm-but-fair approachA genuine belief that every young person deserves a second chance You don’t need prior classroom experience — we’ll help you transfer your existing skills and confidence into an education setting.
