About the RoleCollective Thread is launching The Collective Edit, our upcoming digital magazine that celebrates culture, creativity, and new perspectives. We are seeking volunteer Junior Journalists to contribute articles, features, and opinion pieces across a wide range of themes. This is a voluntary placement and not an employment position. It is unpaid, but it offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in journalism and copywriting within a supportive and creative environment.What You Will DoAs a Junior Journalist, you will contribute articles and features for The Collective Edit. You are welcome to pitch and develop story ideas in areas that interest you, such as politics, lifestyle, culture, art, lifestyle and beauty, or technology. We are highly flexible with both deadlines and workload, and you will contribute entirely on your own terms. All contributions are remote, and you will have the freedom to work when and how it suits you.What You Will GainThis placement provides practical experience in writing, editing, and publishing for a digital magazine. You will have the chance to build a strong writing portfolio with published bylines and will receive a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the placement. Our aim is to support you in launching your career in journalism, media, or copywriting.Who We Are Looking ForWe welcome applications from students, graduates, and emerging writers who are passionate about culture, creativity, and storytelling.
