Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer - Siemens Controls Location: Halifax Salary: ?18.30/hr (Day Shift) + Shift Premiums Shifts: 2-week rotating shift pattern: Early Shift: 06:00 - 13:30 (Mon-Fri) - +17% shift premiumNight Shift: 21:00 - 06:00 (Mon-Thurs) - +30% shift premium About the Role: We're looking for a skilled CNC Turner Programmer to join our client's precision engineering team in Halifax. You'll be working on live tooling CNC lathes, machining components between 300mm and 1.5m in size. While experience with Siemens controls is preferred, we're open to candidates with experience on other control systems - your overall CNC turning experience is the most important factor. Manual turning skills are also a bonus. Key Responsibilities: Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Siemens or similar controls)Use live tooling to machine precision components to tight tolerancesInterpret technical drawings and work to engineering specificationsSelect tooling, speeds, and feeds for different materials and jobsInspect parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and qualityPerform basic machine maintenance and keep work area safe and cleanTroubleshoot and report any issues as they ariseSupport production targets by working efficiently and collaboratively Pay & Benefits: £18.30/hr base (Day Shift)Shift premiums:+17% for Early Shift+30% for Night ShiftQuarterly attendance bonus: £300Machine bonus: £0.03/hr (on selected machines)Overtime: Paid up to 150 hrs at average rateCompany pension schemeFree workwear30 days holiday per year (includes Christmas shutdown) What We're Looking For: Time-served CNC Turner with strong programming and setting experienceIdeally experienced with Siemens controls, but other CNC control systems consideredSkilled with live tooling lathesComfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawingsManual turning experience is desirableFlexible, reliable, and shift-readyHigh attention to detail and team-focused mindset What Next?
