Management AccountantExeter, Devon£35,000 - £40,000 per annum Our client, a multi-faceted privately owned organisation who provide a variety of solutions to a wide range of commercial customers, are currently seeking to recruit an adept Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers flexible hybrid working. The business operates in a competitive and dynamic industry, as the Management Accountant, your role is to ensure financial procedures are executed accurately and promptly, delivering information in a suitable format to support the efficient operation of the organisation. The responsibilities: Prepare and analyse Company Management accounts with senior managers. Attend management account and budget meetings. Maintain Fixed Asset registers and reconcile to the balance sheet. Reconcile balance sheet control accounts. Submit quarterly Company Tax Returns to HMRC. Analyse profitability, contribute to budget preparation. Support budget and forecast preparation. Generate statistical reports, including weekly KPIs. Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations, identifying system weaknesses. Prepare accurate VAT returns, conduct audits. Collaborate on process improvement, produce ad hoc reports. The candidate: Previous experience of working in a similar position with a sound knowledge of income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet. AAT qualified. Able to build relationships and deal confidently with people at all levels. Excellent attention to detail. Advanced Excel skills. Actively seek new solutions and opportunities to enhance company objectives efficiently.
