As Head of Underwriting - Schemes & MGA Partnerships, you'll play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth, developing underwriting strategy, and leading a talented team operating across a diverse portfolio of delegated authority and MGA business.You'll shape the underwriting vision for the MGA channel - balancing performance, product innovation, and partner relationships - while ensuring the delivery of ambitious growth plans aligned with strategic goals.What You'll Be Doing Lead, inspire, and develop a team of experienced underwriters and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability.Own the underwriting and portfolio management strategy for the MGA sector, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.Underwrite complex and high-value cases while maintaining robust governance and underwriting discipline.Drive performance improvement through data-led decision-making, portfolio analysis, and strategic action planning.Develop and maintain strong trading relationships with key MGA and broker partners. What We're Looking For Proven experience operating at a senior level within the MGA or schemes space (either within or managing delegated authority arrangements).Strong underwriting expertise with sound analytical and commercial judgement.Confident decision-maker with the ability to navigate complex risks and deliver strategic outcomes.Excellent people leadership skills - able to coach, motivate, and empower high-performing teams.ACII qualified or working towards this.Forward-thinking, results-driven, and comfortable leading change in a dynamic environment.
