Technician / Engineer - Civils Team Expansion Location: Worcester Salary: Up to £33,000 (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Start Date: Immediate Our client, a leader in the highways sector, is currently seeking a skilled Civil Technician to join their expanding team in Worcester. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment that focuses on delivering civil and structural engineering solutions in an economically, practically, and environmentally sensitive manner. Key Responsibilities: Receiving proposed masterplans and using available data to create drainage networks Modelling drainage networks in Micro-drainage and transferring simulated networks to CAD Developing Chamber & Pipe Schedules as necessary Creating SuDS-based drainage drawings supported with design reports Receiving instructions from Senior Engineers on project standards and modelling accordingly Exporting 2D and 3D information/CAD Xrefs for drawing inclusion Developing comprehensive drawing sets for projects Producing Setting Out Drawings and Setting Out Reports based on 3D models Working with the Civils Team to perform Earthworks Balance exercises and producing final reports Creating Earthworks Drawings for contractors Job Requirements: Experience working within the infrastructure civils or highways environment Proven experience with Micro-drainage for designing drainage networks Proficiency in Civils 3D for modelling tasks Competence in AutoCAD for producing scaled drawings Strong problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work as part of a team Additional Responsibilities: Attending design and site meetings with fellow Engineers or Senior Technicians as required Benefits: Full-time permanent position 37.5 hours per week Opportunity to work on a variety of projects Supportive and collaborative work environment Professional development and training opportunities If you are a proficient Civil Technician with a passion for civil engineering and a proven track record in the highways sector, I would love to hear from you.
