Pig Livestock Operative Pig Livestock Operative - £29,000 - Leicester The Job: We’re recruiting two enthusiastic and reliable Pig Livestock Operatives to join a progressive, high-welfare pig breeding unit based near Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands on, practical work and takes pride in maintaining excellent standards of animal care, hygiene and farm presentation.Working as part of a dedicated team, you’ll be involved in all aspects of pig husbandry and daily farm routines — helping to ensure the smooth running and success of this modern, efficient operation.Key Responsibilities:- Carry out daily animal care routines including feeding, watering and welfare checks- Take responsibility for cleaning, power washing, and maintaining hygiene standards across all farm areas- Assist with farrowing, vaccinations, grading, and batching piglets- Handle livestock safely and calmly, following welfare and biosecurity procedures- Maintain accurate records of stock, feed, and health checks- Support general farm duties and uphold excellent housekeeping standards- Follow all Health & Safety, environmental, and technical policies The Company: A forward thinking and reputable farming business recognised for high animal welfare, innovation, and sustainability.
