SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to be working with an Outstanding-rated, two-form entry primary school in Hackney to recruit an experienced Year 1 Teacher for a January 2026 start, this is a maternity leave. Location: Hackney, East London Contract: January 2026 - July 2026 (with potential to continue into the Autumn 2026 term) Pay: MPS3-MPS6 (£215-£258 per day, PAYE) ‍ Experience Required: Minimum of two full years of teaching experience (No ECTs) About the School This highly regarded community school is known for its inclusive ethos, exceptional teaching standards, and strong partnerships with families. Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that build on the foundations set in Reception Implement the school's established phonics and early literacy programmes Work closely with your year-group partner to plan collaboratively and share best practice Foster curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning among your pupils This position offers genuine potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. ‍ The Ideal Candidate We're looking for a teacher who: Holds QTS and has at least two years of full-time classroom experience Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, phonics, and formative assessment Is reflective, organised, and proactive, with excellent communication skills Brings warmth, enthusiasm, and creativity to their classroom Values teamwork and is committed to making a difference within a vibrant community school Why Join Through SANZA?
