Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) Location: Bournemouth Salary: £13.68 - £16.12 Per Hour (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeDo you have the drive and dedication to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs?GSL Education are currently recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils in Bournemouth who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This role involves working both on-site and off-site, so a full UK driving licence with business insurance is essential.As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.Providing consistent emotional and behavioural support tailored to individual needs.Assisting with off-site provisions and transporting students when required.Helping to manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships.Working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote pupil wellbeing and progress. To be a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will require: Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour.Be calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure.Be confident supporting learning across a range of subjects and settings.Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
