SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (KS3–KS4) Location: Birmingham, B4 Start date: ASAP Contract: Full-time/Part-time | Term Time Only Salary: £90–£110 per day (depending on experience) PAYE, no umbrella! We’re working with a supportive 11–16 secondary school looking for a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. You’ll work closely with students who need additional support whether that’s academic, behavioural, or emotional helping them feel confident, capable, and ready to learn. About the Role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll: Support students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH Provide tailored assistance in class, small groups, or 1:1 sessions Help pupils stay focused, organised, and engaged in learning Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to meet student needs About You We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with young people, particularly in SEN or support settings Builds trust quickly and communicates with empathy and clarity Understands how to adapt support for a range of learning profiles Is calm, consistent, and confident in challenging situations Holds a DBS on the Update Service or is willing to applyMust have right to work within the UK, we are not able to offer sponsorship What You’ll Get A rewarding role where you make a visible difference every day Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella deductions Opportunities for CPD and career development in SEN Support from a dedicated Protocol consultant who understands SEN support roles A school environment that truly values inclusive education Ready to support students where it really matters?
