We’re looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Bolton area, working with students who have complex social, and mental health needs such as high anxiety and behavioural challenges.This is a deeply rewarding role where you’ll help pupils with EHCPs thrive both academically and emotionally, offering consistent support and encouragement in a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personalised support aligned with individual EHCPsUse de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviourCreate a calm, nurturing space that promotes emotional wellbeingSupport students in the classroom and during structured activitiesWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionalsCarry out general TA duties including small group interventions What We’re Looking For: A caring, adaptable, and proactive approachExperience supporting individuals with behavioural or mental health needsConfidence in building strong, trusting relationshipsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPatience, empathy, and emotional resilience ✅ Essential Requirements: Experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary)Enhanced DBS for Child & Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain)Safeguarding training (provided)Two employment references covering the last 2 years Why Join Us?
