Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant in SEN Unit Location: England, Greater London, MertonJob Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry: Education and TrainingSalary: £88 - £110 Per dayBenefits: PAYEJob Description: Job Duties: Supporting students with special educational needs in a SEN unitAssisting with classroom activities and lesson preparationsProviding one-on-one support to students as neededHelping to create a safe and inclusive learning environmentCollaborating with teachers and other professionals to implement individualised education plans Required Qualifications: Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamPatience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student development Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and MathsExperience: Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferredKnowledge and Skills: Understanding of special educational needs and different learning stylesAbility to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needsBasic knowledge of relevant policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalentAdditional training in special educational needs support Working Conditions: Fast-paced and dynamic educational environmentPotential for physical activity when supporting studentsRegular collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
