SEN Teacher – Sunderland Location: Sunderland Contract: Full-time, Long-term Start date: ASAP Pay: £120–£220 per day (PAYE)Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with a passion for helping every learner reach their potential?We’re working with a specialist setting in the Sunderland area that provides tailored education for pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, MLD, and communication difficulties. They’re looking for a teacher who can bring structure, creativity, and compassion to the classroom.Your role: Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to individual EHCP targets Work closely with support staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent progress Use creative, sensory, and communication-based approaches to learning Build a positive, inclusive environment where every pupil feels seen and supported You’ll need: QTS or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within specialist settings Calm, adaptable approach and strong behaviour management skills Confidence using visual supports, communication aids, or sensory tools Why join Protocol Education?
