Motor Vehicle (Mechanics) Teacher
Location: South Norwood Contract: Full-time / Permanent Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Start Date: As soon as possibleAbout the Role We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Motor Vehicle Teacher to join our dynamic Construction and Engineering department in South Norwood. You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, helping learners develop the hands-on skills, technical knowledge, and confidence needed for a successful career in the automotive industry.Key Responsibilities
Teach and assess motor vehicle qualifications (Levels 1–3).
Deliver practical and theory sessions covering diagnostics, servicing, repair, and maintenance.
Support learners in developing workshop-based competencies and employability skills.
Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
Track learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate assessment records.
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement across the department.
About You
Qualified to Level 3 (or higher) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or a related field).
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, or equivalent) or willingness to achieve one.
Strong, up-to-date industry experience and practical understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics.
Excellent communication, organisation, and workshop management skills.
A passion for inspiring learners and supporting them to reach their potential.
