Construction Tutor - Alternative Provision School (Wellingborough) Permanent | Full-Time | Starting ASAP Salary: £31,000 Recruitment Partner: Tradewind Recruitment Are you an experienced Construction Tutor or Instructor with a passion for helping young people re-engage with education? Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with an alternative provision school in Wellingborough who are seeking a dedicated Construction Tutor to join their team on a permanent basis. This unique setting supports secondary-aged students who have experienced challenges in mainstream education, including SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, and barriers to learning. The ideal candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to creating an engaging and practical learning environment that helps students develop both skills and confidence for the future. About the Role: Deliver practical and theory-based construction sessions to small groups of students Create a supportive and structured learning environment that promotes engagement and progress Work closely with the wider pastoral and teaching team to support students' individual needs Encourage personal development, teamwork, and employability skills Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment Requirements: Experience teaching or instructing construction or a related trade (school or college setting desirable) A relevant qualification in Construction or Teaching (or a willingness to work towards one) Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate approach A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEMH and behavioural needs This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on making a difference and enjoys a hands-on approach to learning.
