About the role A Cover Supervisor plays a vital role in schools, supervising pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher – just confident, organised, and ready to lead a classroom. Whether you’ve worked with children before or are looking for a new challenge, we offer full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.Key responsibilities: Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the teacher’s absenceMaintain good classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environmentSupport students with their work, answering questions when needed.Follow the school’s policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and attendanceAct as a positive role model for students, promoting engagement and motivation About the school Flexible working patterns – full-time, part-time, or casualFree training and CPD opportunitiesSupportive consultants with education expertiseIdeal pathway into teacher training or further education rolesLocal work across Derby and surrounding areas Requirements To be considered for the role of Graduate Cover Supervisor- Training Provided you will: Recent graduates in any subjectEnthusiastic individuals with strong communication skillsExperience working with young people is a bonus (sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, etc.)Ability to travel to schools in and around SwadlincoteA proactive mindset and willingness to learnAble to work within the UK and willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
