Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher Location: Hull Salary: M1 to UPS3 (Depending on experience) Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-timeAre you an enthusiastic and innovative Design and Technology Teacher looking for your next opportunity?GSL Education are seeking dedicated DT Teachers to inspire and engage students in schools across Hull.As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across key stages, encouraging students to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. You will foster a supportive learning environment, ensuring pupils are motivated and challenged to reach their full potential.Design and Technology (DT) Teacher Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across the curriculum.Inspire and motivate students to explore creativity and innovation in design.Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and resources in workshops.Differentiate lessons to support all learners, including high achievers and those needing extra support.Assess, record, and report on student progress.Contribute to departmental planning, resources, and curriculum development.Support extracurricular activities, clubs, and projects to enrich the student experience.Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Specialism in Design and Technology (Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Textiles welcomed).Strong classroom management and communication skills.Ability to plan creative and engaging lessons that challenge and support learners.Passion for developing students’ practical and theoretical understanding of DT.A commitment to ongoing professional development.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
