Job DescriptionThis is a commercial and operationally focused role, acting as a finance business partner to the UK & Eire OpCo. That will mean owning all FP&A processes and providing financial support at title, project, and strategic levels. This role will also have responsibility for analysis and insight of Box Office data, working closely with the Finance Director to support distribution strategy.ResponsibilitiesBusiness PartnershipSupport the Finance Director and sales team to optimise film distribution strategies and commercial termsFinance lead on title analysis and Box Office data – presenting weekly to FD, MD, and Sales DirectorSupport the Marketing team with analysis to optimise spend levels, cost splits, and campaign strategiesReview and report on cost savings from marketing efficiencies and data management projectsDrive focus on all rights profitability and provide analysis to support cross-divisional decision-makingPrepare the weekly exec pack with focus on Universal market position and tracking for execs to use in weekly meetingsProvide financial and modelling support to analyse commercial opportunitiesResponsible for the integrity and analysis of Box Office dataOwn the OpCo Distribution storyboard, updating metrics and highlighting areas of focusAssist teams with Awards Budgeting between departments and manage the process and trackingManage the Box Office return reporting tool to analyse any change in ticket pricing and promotion effectivenessFP&A SubmissionsQuarterly pacing for by-title P&L, overheads, and cashOwn the annual overheads budget processAnnual Budget presentation support and analysis to support numbersOwn the allocations and split by titlePrimary contact for all ad hoc FP&A queriesTitle TrackingMaintain Integrated Planning Documents; work with Marketing to track cost savings and ensure POs and invoices are raised on a timely basisBy-title variance analysis on all budget linesSubmit Territory Contribution Reports and ensure they are kept up to date and in line with marketing Adpub thresholdsMaintain weekly reporting data for SMTEnsure accuracy of all Box Office data reported by RentrakQuarter EndPrepare schedules required for Quarter close: rental accruals, open PO accruals, title allocations, rebate accruals, and any others as requiredLiaise with the Controllership Analyst to ensure all postings are made correctly and the quarterly accounts are accurately presentedOtherLine manage our finance intern and work together/delegate appropriately from the above workloadSupport EMEA/International distribution team with ad hoc analysisWork with International Finance to roll out any new or best practice UK processes to other territoriesLead FP&A process improvement projectsAd hoc commercial/financial project analysisWork closely with the Controllership Analyst to ensure FP&A and Controllership activities are alignedSkills & Qualifications Basic Requirements:Accredited UK professional finance qualification (or near completion)Previous experience in a similar roleAbility to work effectively under pressure and multi-task, managing own workloadStrong attention to detail, with ability to sense-check own work and feed upwardsExcellent Excel and data analysis skills with experience in building models and working with large quantities of dataAn active interest in seeking out new ways to use data to support insight and strategy and develop the UK OpCo data landscapeStrong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly and confidently to Senior Management.Strong analytical skillsDesired Characteristics:Experience and knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualisation programmesKnowledge of SAP/BWExperience in a media environment
